About the project

DESCRIPTION:

The training course „Volunteering as a path to Social Entrepreneurship” will run in Zonguldak, Turkey from 22.06.2014 till 29.06.2014

The main goal is to examine how non-formal education could strengthen and valorise young people’s skills, in order to empower their competences and above all their self-confidence to apply to a job, to create social entrepreneurship projects.

Volunteering is a way for the youth to acquire knowledge, they may exercise their skills and extend their social networks and may benefit from better employment opportunities and personal and social development.

AIM:

• Promote the activity of citizenship and participation in the labor market processes in Europe;
• Improve the capacities of young people to create social entrepreneurship project;
• Encourage youth organisations for exchange and cooperation on the European level.

OBJECTIVES:

• To promote volunteering as a way of providing informal and non-formal learning opportunities, as a crucial instrument in the process of continuing education.
• To pay community and youth workers attention to work with youth unemployment problems;
• To look at the potentials of youth work and the Youth in Action Programme as a way to increase young peoples chances of employability;
• To share experiences, challenges and good practices among participants.
• To draw a connection between Erasmus+ projects and professional development by highlighting skills and competences which are considered necessary in the job finding process.
